Location
Our 120 acre campus is located in Northeastern Wisconsin. The closest town is Amberg in Marinette County. We are definitely in an out-of-the-way place (find us on a map). The campus is about two hours north of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and about six hours north of Chicago. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is only about a mile away. The area is considered a vacation area with an abundance of vacation homes, cabins, and outdoor activities to draw people during all seasons.

History
Steve and Bobbi Schroeder started Victory Homes for Boys under the ministry of Oak Forest Baptist Temple (now Heritage Baptist Church) near Frankfort, Illinois. A farmhouse was rented and the first group of boys arrived in 1983. The Schroeders’ hearts were moved to help at-risk teen boys by showing them the love of Christ and the truths of the Bible. As Steve and Bobbi worked through those early years they saw the need for a more intense program for the parents of the boys. In 1989 the ministry moved north to the current Wisconsin campus and a parent program was developed that included homework, in-home visits, and accountability to help parents with their roles of influencing their children for God.
Our Ministry
Today the ministry is incorporated as a 501c(3) non-profit organization. The Wisconsin property has been developed to include three staff homes, a school building, maintenance garage, and an 8,000 square feet boys home. The property has trails and recreation areas and room for expansion as God leads and provides. The work with the boys has been evaluated and sharpened over the years and a streamlined program has been developed that intensifies the impact on the hearts of the boys and their parents.
We are thankful for the experience of watching God work through hundreds of people, many churches, and just plain supernatural provision and protection to make Victory Academy a reality. God’s work in the hearts of staff and boys throughout the years has lead to the development of a powerful program for helping teens in crisis and their parents.
Over the years God has blessed the sacrifices of many staff and supporters. The ministry has shown fruit in the lives of many: young men have learned the blessing of obedience, the joy of trusting Christ, the peace and stability of a vibrant relationship with Christ, parents have been encouraged and exhorted in their responsibilities as parents and companions in their homes.
