Financial Information

The education, development, and care of a child is a big investment. When considering the cost of a boarding school, in some ways it compares to the cost of a university. The costs at Victory Academy cover academic instruction, housing, food, therapeutic activities, life skills instruction, and individual counseling. The costs also cover the parent program which includes on-campus training, in-home instruction and counsel, institute courses, and personal counseling.

Victory Academy is a private Christian therapeutic boarding school. The academy is privately funded. The prayers and gifts of more than thirty churches and many individuals make it possible to operate a quality program that helps struggling teens and their families. It is the Board of Director’s desire to keep the tuition costs at a minimum to help enable crisis families to use this program.

Scholarships

In the interest of making the program available to those who need it the Board has established a Scholarship Fund. Funds are distributed as they become available through the generosity of others. Scholarship distribution is based on funds available and the evaluation of income, expenses, and asset to debt statements and tax forms. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, make application and request a scholarship form from our office. All other possible sources of funding must be sought before scholarship funds will be awarded (see below for Other Possible Sources of Funding).

We desire to help families without regard to their financial status. Our hearts are usually bigger than our scholarship fund. Most families must look at all avenues of possible funding.

Other Possible Sources of Funding

Personal Assets

List personal assets and determine the values and look at the possibility of liquidating real estate, recreation vehicles, boats, motorcycles, automobiles, firearms, jewelry, etc. Look also at drawing finances out of cd’s, retirement funds, stocks, etc. This is a rescue effort for the soul and life of a boy. What else is more important?

Family members

Often other family members are willing to get involved in a child’s education. Ask family members to check our website and see if they would be interested in helping fund the boy’s enrollment in Victory. Family members other than parents and grandparents usually can take advantage of Victory’s non-profit status and receive a tax deductible receipt.

Churches

Many of the families have had help from their church. Contact the church leadership to see if the church or someone in the church might be interested in helping the boy through this program.

Friends

Often other friends may be motivated to help a family with the expenses of a program that is going to challenge a boy and help him grow spiritually and restore the relationships in the family.

Local Civic Groups

There are people in every community who are looking for how to help people and organizations that are helping people. Look for groups who would help a religious organization, or those groups who include business people who would help individually fund the “rescue” of an at-risk teen.

You had a great effect on our family…you helped restore relationships that had hurt and broken down our family.
