Parent Partnership

The parent partnership is a key to establishing hope and help for the parents.  The personal counsel, seminars, and study materials are all designed to help parents bring hope to the strife, anger, and difficulties that are such a heavy weight on their family relationships.  Parent visits provide opportunities to work through difficult issues and help cement into the family structure a framework for good communication and biblical problem-solving.  Ephesians 4 details how that framework works to build a foundation for peace and strong family relationships.  At our core is the philosophy that strong family relationships form the environment  for relational and spiritual growth.

The family’s time with Victory Academy for Boys is “window of opportunity” for a family to grow together, applying Scripture to work through their problems and restore a healthy, unified family structure.

Parents are going through tough times and in most cases are completely frustrated at how their family life is turning out.  Usually the difficulties have also negatively impacted their marriages.  Our Parent Conferences are held three times a year on our campus to encourage parents and help them re-group and clear their thinking on how to reach the heart of their son.  We also have a Father/Son Retreat each June that helps the fathers unify and strengthen their relationships with their sons.  Our Parent Institute on-line study program helps parents broaden and deepen their parenting (and marriage)by  providing structure and accountability for reading, studying, and applying great parenting and spiritual life material from a variety of authors and speakers.  Anytime the parents are on campus we are looking for ways to encourage and help them in the difficult task of helping their sons.  We also do home visits from time to time to help parents in real time right in their own homes.  In short, we do everything we can to help the parents successfully get back to the place of leadership and influence in the lives of their sons.

The parents are involved in the work with their own sons as they have access to the academic and counseling records as they are recorded each day.  Our academic log and counseling log are available online for parents to check in and see what is going on that day and see their son’s progress and difficulties.  After the student reached level 3 the parents also have the opportunity to give their own input and encouragement along the way.
