Victory Academy Report
Dear Friends of Victory,
Our slow start is behind us now. We are rejoicing in what we are seeing God do in bringing us together with families to help. We currently have four boys, and three others are being considered for after Christmas break. George has been with us from the beginning, Billy joined us a couple of weeks ago, and both Jonathon and Jordan came just last week. Jonathon was with us 3 years ago, so he has jumped right in and started working with our program well. Please pray for each of them as they "adjust" to the program and as they are lovingly confronted with their needs to change and grow. Please pray for their parents as well as they tackle the homework and accountability process as we encourage them in their parenting and their walk with God.
After two years of quiet, it is great to have the "noise" of the teenagers running around the property. The house isn't quiet anymore. What a blessing that is. Each day brings many opportunities to help these young men grow in their character and spirit. Just a few days ago as I walked home from the office late at night I was overwhelmed to think of God making this all "work" again. Two things are happening. God's name and glory are being exalted in the eyes of each family we are working with. Secondly, each of these boys, with their family, is being given a chance at knowing our great God and learning how to live for Him. I rejoice that Victory is open. As I look at each boy, I praise God for His grace in making Victory possible for them. We praise the Lord for the staff He has given us. They are doing a great job. We have prayed for years for the Lord to bring together staff for us again, and we rejoice in seeing His answer fleshed out in Greg and Jan Trometer, Mark and Donna Morgan andjustin Bridgers.
Thank you for standing with us in your interest and support of Victory Academy. The response to the last newsletter was great and those recent gifts have allowed us to make it through the "slim" days before we have a full enrollment of boys. We appreciate your prayer support as well. Truly this is a spiritual battle over these boys and their families, and we need God's direction and the Spirits filling in our own lives. Truly I stand amazed at God's grace and power. We serve an awesome God.
For Christ-like families,
Mark Massey
